Algae preparations from GSE:
Vegan nutrient suppliers

Algae are among the oldest life forms on Earth – and among the most nutrient-rich. Whether as a superfood for everyday life or as targeted support for your diet: algae can culinary enrich your diet not only in the form of sushi. While other algae, which are immediately recognizable as wavering green structures in the water, e.g. contain a lot of natural protein and iodine, tiny microalgae or blue-green algae* like Chlorella or Spirulina provide other rare nutrients.

Neither animal nor plant, yet full of life

Algae are not animals, not plants, not fungi, and not lichens. As a completely independent life form, they have inhabited all seas and freshwaters of this world since ancient times, serving as food for countless aquatic creatures and purifying the water in which they live from pollutants. Thank you, dear algae!

Organic Spirulina: The blue iron wonder

It's no wonder that Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) was originally categorized as "blue-green algae": as soon as you dissolve Spirulina powder or tablets in water, it first turns green and then an intense turquoise-blue. Modern scientific studies have shown that Spirulina is actually a microscopic, spirally wound cyanobacterium. But here too, the blue reappears, namely in the name component cyan (= blue). Perhaps it was this interesting color that prompted early cultures like the Maya or Aztecs to skim Spirulina from the water and consume it? They certainly didn't know that the small blue-green structures convert CO2 from the air into oxygen and chlorophyll... and even less that they contain a lot of valuable iron. Today, all these astonishing properties are known. As manufacturers of natural food supplements, we therefore use Spirulina as a source of iron, which is so important for blood formation, the immune system, and normal cognitive function, as well as for cell division. Of course, you can also rely on us to provide only the best quality – in this case, even with a Naturland seal for cultivation via organic aquaculture in drinking water instead of potentially contaminated seawater.

Organic Chlorella: It doesn't get any greener

Did you know that the single-celled Chlorella microalgae, brilliantly green due to their enormous chlorophyll content, are one of the few non-animal sources of vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12 is needed for almost all bodily processes – from the immune system, nerves, and psyche to energy metabolism and cell division, and even normal red blood cell formation. We also source our Chlorella algae from outdoor aquaculture certified by the Naturland association. In them, vitamin B12 is organically bound and thus excellently bioavailable. Incidentally, these green powerhouses also provide iron, although Spirulina (see above) has a quantitative advantage here.
